供給之手 The Hand That Feeds

我的右手是我充滿創造力的頭腦的延伸。
任何時候我售出一幅畫作就代表我可以吃一頓好的、
可以繼續作畫、以及付房租。
這隻手跟它神祕的線條是生存的象徵，
就如同太陽跟她的光線是生存的象徵。
我在自己作品簽上的名字看起來就像徵我的手。
五條光線在「JOEL」的「L」之後，是五根手指頭。
太陽的光線以及我的五根手指頭都同樣象徵著生存！

當我在作畫時我真的很傑出耀眼，因為太陽讓我能看見。

太陽滿足我的心智，我的心智滿足我的雙手，而我的雙手滿足了畫布。

My right hand is the extension of my ever creative mind.
Whenever I sell a painting it means I can eat a proper meal,
continue painting more painting and pay my landlord.
The hand with all its mysterious lines is a symbol for life.
The sun with all its rays of light is also a symbol for life.
The way I sign my work also includes a reference to my hand.
The five sun rays after the 'L' in JOEL also symbolise the five fingers.
The two go hand in hand so to speak.
I truly shine when I paint, and by doing so, reveal all hat the sun lets me see.
The sun feeds my mind, my mind feeds my hand and my hand feeds my canvas.
